Where is "there"...? It is the place at which you finally come to be at peace with your "inner critic"... having taught it how to "be still" and listen to YOUR direction (instead of reacting to its constant screams and demands for attention, finding fault with others, looking to place blame for your discomfort somewhere outside yourself... and when you TRAIN YOUR MIND to accept full accountability for the feelings you feel, the thoughts you think, the words you speak, and the actions you take... you're home free, baby... home free!

The question then becomes..."How do I get there from here?"

Answer: One step at a time. One lesson at a time. Replacing old, worn-out beliefs with thoughts and ideas that foster forgiveness... and learning that when you finally come to bless everyone and everything you see, the old world will fall away... back into the nothingness from which it came... and fear will disappear!

Here's what Osho says on the subject of "planning for the miracle" of being the divine presence that you are:

"Tao mystics never talk about God, reincarnation, heaven, hell. No, they don't talk about these things. These are all creations of human mind: explanations for something which can never be explained, explanations for the mystery. In fact, all explanations are against God because explanation de-mystifies existence. Existence is a mystery, and one should accept it as a mystery and not pretend to have any explanation. No, explanation is not needed -- only exclamation, a wondering heart, awakened, surprised, feeling the mystery of life each moment. Then, and only then, you know what truth is. And truth liberates.

"Find moments when you are not, and those will be the moments when you will be for the first time...really. So I am the white cloud, and the whole effort is to make you also white clouds drifting in the sky. Nowhere to go, coming from nowhere, just being there this very moment -- perfect. I don't teach you any ideals, I don't teach you any oughts. I don't say to you be this, become that. My whole teaching is simply this: Whatsoever you are, accept it so totally that nothing is left to be achieved, and you will become a white cloud.

"Be realistic: Plan for a miracle." -- Osho

* * *

SO HOW DOES ONE PLAN FOR A MIRACLE? Very simply, by being "miracle-minded"... and to become miracle-minded, go to the source to study about it: A COURSE IN MIRACLES.
acim-search.miraclevision.com/std...html

Getting right into it is often somewhat intimidating if you're not predisposed (when people are "comfortable" with their lives, they generally don't seek out a course that offers transformative shift in perception! For "training wheels" you may wish to visit my website... Puppy Training the Mind... that offers my own humorous take on the subject.

Okay - our gracious moderator convinced me to get ACIM which I am familiar with and which I will read once again (not that I ever got through the whole thing).

Today I am noticing thoughts that I do not like. One of them in particular centers around one of my best friends always "blowing me off" when I am about ready to leave town. I am trying to tell myself not to take it personally but my mind keeps coming back to it, wondering what it is about me that illicits this behavior in her. It is happening now for the second time.

So I am trying to think of a way to get through this without obsessing about it in a negative way or creating an stupid conversation between her and I. I guess I can *choose* not to take it personally and not to put myself down over it. A Course in Miracles would say, "I have given this situation all the meaning it has for me" but how do I train my mind not to go there with self-denegrating thoughts about myself, as if I have so much control over another's action anyway....(I know I do not and that other variables may exist that have nothing to do with me).

I have been very positive about it and have approached it as positively as possible.

It seems hard to choose to not take things personally when they really do appear to be personal and by all appearances, dont' make much sense.
